Program Goals
- Establish a clearinghouse of information and materials concerning violence prevention.
- Manage School Safety Resource Library for KVEC member district use.
- Provide/Coordinate training, technical assistance, and program development to schools and communities.
- Assist districts with analyzing the data collected in compliance with Section 5 of HB330.
- Evaluate existing and developmental school safety programs.
- Provide on-site technical assistance and program review.
- Promote interagency efforts to address school discipline and safety issues in collaboration with other post-secondary institutions and juvenile delinquency prevention councils.
- Provide grant-writing technical assistance for projects related to safe and drug free learning environments.
- Prepare and disseminate information regarding best practices in creating safe and effective schools.
