Our Mission
  

Welcome to The Owsley Co. Adult Education and Family Literacy Center. Study in a quiet, relaxed, and discreet atmosphere with qualified, caring instructors. Adult Basic Education and services are available, as well as a comprehensive Family Literacy Program. We are open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (year round). How may we help you?

The Owsley County Adult Education and Family Literacy Center offers complete preparation for the GED Diploma and basic skills of reading, writing, and math are provided. Remedial tutoring for college classes is also available. Job Readiness classes and access to community services are provided as needed. Our Family Literacy Program enhances families learning together and connects families with community partners. Basic computer skills are taught in our state-of-the-art computer lab with Internet access. The curriculum is designed to custom-fit each individual need.

 

GED/Basic Skills Instruction is a FREE service offered to anyone over the age of eighteen and to persons over sixteen who meet program guidelines.
